    Post Online Recruitment survey...

I am a marketing management student at Cal State Hayward, and I am writting a paper on online recruitment. I need to get 10-20 people to fill out a quick survey about the topic. Online recruitment includes sites like monster.com, craigslist.com, or the actual company websites.

If you are willing to help out, let me know which of the categories below you would be in and I can email you the questions.

    1. You are working in the HR dept for a firm that uses online recruiting to look for and hire new employees.

    2. You have applied for jobs online and gotten responses or a job.

The only personal info that I need is your first name, general location, and the industry that you work in.

    Please be honest when responding.

Sorry, I loaned my first name to a friend and they haven't returned it yet.

    Nope on both counts.

Personally I find that applying online either through monster.com or through company's website is like shooting a pea at a tank. If you're lucky, you'll hit the driver, but otherwise you'll be ignored.

I applyed to countless companies online, including the one my father works for, and I didn't get anything. The best place to find jobs is career fairs and campus visits. It's much easier to get an interview at those places.

I actually got my current job by replying to a Monster ad... fire me an e-mail if you're interested. I'm in the IT field.

Jeff, I'll reply when I get home. I don't have access to my personal smtp server (don't like sending personal email with the company's) and I don't want to use webmail to do it.
