when you say "in time" do you mean in our own lifetime? Or further-if further is the case-I think I'd like to go back to renaissance days-yeh, that would be cool..but if I had to go back to my own time, I guess I'd like to be 11 or 12-that was alot of fun, plus I'd get to see my grandmother again..now that would be very cool.

i'd like to start over from 9th grade and skip a grade in highschoool. make wiser choices regarding my relationships. make wiser choices in college...and save up some money to take advantage of the .com boom/bust...
    and then yeah
but in the end..I can't complain about my life now. I'm blessed beyond what I deserve.

if you're talking about any time in history, i'd say circa 1776, because i would love to see the politics of the revolution developing.

if you mean within my lifetime, i don't really think there's any time i'd rather be at in my life than right now (maybe 2 years ago when i was just moving out on my own and starting my first post-college job, but that had its downsides too.)

i'm not so sure i'd do anything to change what's going on now. everything that happened contributes to who i am now, and i'm not so sure i could adjust to being in a different state too well. it would freak me out. sure, things could be "better" or different or whatever, but i can also make changes now. i mean, i have stuff i'm already working on. i kinda wanna see where it's going

(this may be redundant, but if it wasn't clear the first time)

i'm not saying that i look back and it's been all mai-tais and yahtzee. i'm just saying that i've experienced pain (which logically is the only thing ppl would wanna change anyhow), and i need that pain. for a variety of reasons actually. but the main part here is that's who i am. and if i didnt go through that, then it would just be some other source of pain. given all the variables possible, i already know how to deal with what i have now. or i try to.

I'd go back a few thousand years, start my own religion, and write a bunch of "prophecies" about the future. Something that would seriously mess with people like engraving the guitar parts for every Beatles song in stone tablets.

If I had to go back within my lifetime, I would go back to 7th or 8th grade and start learning everything about computers I possibly could.
Shall we buy a new guitar?
Shall we drive a more powerful car?

I'd go back to just when I was graduating from College, and see how life would have changed if instead of taking that job out in California, I had instead stayed in New Orleans and taken that job as a network and sys admin for one of the local Catholic girls' high schools.

Or maybe back to just before entering college, so I could live the best years all over again.

Or maybe back to 7th grade, and see how life would be different if I had given Dean Rosenthal the proper ass whuppin he deserved after he pulled my chair out from under me while I was sitting down, instead of taking it lying down and making myself the butt of everyone's mean jokes for the rest of the year.

Now the question is are you going as yourself to that time or are you returning to the age you were at the date you selected. Depending on the answer, there could be a whole world of difference.

I would say that i would go back and have myself actually do work in high school and college rather than just skate by without studying. Its really annoying to know that I could have gone to X school instead of Y school if I had just applied myself. However, in all practicality, if I had been smart and done things right, I wouldnt have met my fiance, so I wouldnt change anything.

Now if I could keep her and still change something, I would definitely go back and tell myself to hit those books, take these courses, and dont buy the Probe.

I would go back to 1986 when i had the end of my finger crushed off due to the negligence of another employee. I was out of work 13 weeks and it took two years to get the strength and coordination back in my hand.

When I was 35, and the crazy and wild disco thing along with the wild and crazy women... I was dating three or four women at a time. Everyone was nuts.. I wasn't really that happy but it sure was an experience!

7th grade...when I first moved to the States. Would have done so many things differently. Now I'm assuming I get to retain all the things I learned. haha.

when i was posting it up i was thinking in your lifetime as yourself at that age you were then. i should have also included knowing the things you know now. not like "i would have bought every share of microsoft i could", but some of the life lessons you have learned over that time.

323 bc, I'd meet ALexander the Great
    45bc Meet Julius Caesar
    10bc Meet Augustus
    30ad Meet Jesus
527 Meet Justinian, see Constantinople during its glory days
    1429 Meet Joan of Arc
    1776 Meet the founding fathers

Before I go to the past I'd get hella shots, because you'd get all sorts of nasty diseases that we don't have.

If I could go back to my life, I'd go to 5th or 6th grade and get myself on a more focused path academically and socially.

Take advantage of the stock boom and bust. Or just take the winning lottery numbers for the past 2 years and win the jackpot. I would have to split it but I would get the winning numbers for week before the final winning jackpot was won and be the sole winner.
