The guy I sit next to at work is always closing the damn blinds. Says he doesn't like sunshine. I knocked him unconcious and reopened the blinds.
Oh, wait. That last part was a lie. Sorry.
Anyway, does anyone here not like sunshine?

My eyes are slightly sensitive to bright light. If I don't wear sunglasses while outside in a very sunny day, I will get a headache...
If I liked sunshine, I wouldn't live in Michigan.
Sunshine is nice is small amounts. I gotta wear my shades whenever I go out and its sunny. Sunny days tire me out, specially during traffic.
If it's on my computer monitor or the TV, then no. Otherwise, always yes.![]()

here in oregon, we're taught to fear the glowing orb in the sky. lucky it only comes out twice a year. although, those two times a year, oregonians all over sh*t their pants cause we're so afraid.
i like sunshine very very much.
which is why i don't really like living in michigan![]()
I just heard a rumor he's changing desks. woohoo!(me no like him much anyway)

if you fear the sun, whitak and i absolutely are terrified of it.
according to yahoo's listing of days of sun per city, us michiganders are WAY down the list at 67 sunny days/year. the worst city in oregon has 2 more sunny days than we have here in kalamazoo or lansing.
70% of the world is covered by water. The rest is covered by Bob Sanders
man, that sucks! we are literally in the very bottom of the list.Originally posted by cheapbast@rd

i always thought michigan weather sucked, but i had no idea it was that bad.
on the positive side, over in detroit, i get 8 bonus days of sun per year
edit: on the positive side, every city containing law schools i've applied to has more sun than michigan (other than, obviously, ann arbor, because....well...it's in michigan)

i once had a cube in a corner of the bldg that had direct sun at like 1pm in mission valley, san diego. i often felt like...you know those puppies that ppl used to leave in their cars in the heat and would be all sticking their noses out of the little crack left in the window by their owners. thanks to uneven air conditioning distribution, there wasn't much i could do about it, even with the shades drawn. so of course i'm sitting there with an ice brick strapped to the top of my head while the rest of the bldg was wearing fur coats.
but without a magnifying glass on my ass, i love the sun![]()
say "hi" to lumbergh for me
Yeah, but that would require you to be in Detroit, which is even worse punshment than no sun.Originally posted by whitak24

Sure I'll be quiet when...
My eyes are sensitive to bright light but nothing a pair of shades cant handle, although always do enjoy the sun shinning in my face when I walk out the door to start my day.
I want to live in Seattle, oc. You know that. If Scott & I could live somewhere that it was Rainy: 85% Sunny 15% of the time, we would.![]()

I fear the sun. I worry that I will burst into flame if it's deadly rays ever touch my exposed flesh!![]()
I like it, as long as it doesn't come with burning heat. Mmm...A/C...
Looks like Washington pretty much owns the bottom of that Yahoo list.

A little bit of sun is ok... you know... like a sunny but overcast day. Too much sun makes the world too bright.

I used to hate sunshine, living in chennai, india everyone would. The average high temperature is around 99F, a little too much for me. The lowest it gets there even in the winter is 'bout 72F, which I like. After I came here and found out how cold a place can get, i would take 99F over 10F anytime...
I dont have to worry about burns or anything, since my skin's been exposed to >100F temps for a long long time and my eyes are made for sunshine too. But still >90F temps bother me if im stayin outside for more than an hour.
But my skin turns white here in allentown, pa, cos its not able stand the stupid cold...i hate using moisturizers, just aint used to putting stuff on my skin every damn day.
So yeah, i used to hate the sun, now i long for it.
