    Memory foam mattresses

Just in case the deal comes back again...

I recently bought a 3" full 4lb density memory foam mattress pad with 3 pillows for $155 shipped from eBay.

To be honest, I'm trying to force myself to think that it's comfortable. It's far too stiff to be enjoyable. You don't even really sink into it like you would think you do, judging by the ever-popular picture of the hand sinking into the foam. Your weight is so spread out, even by sleeping on your side, that it's like sleeping on a board.

Just my 2c in case someone is thinking of buying one with that density.

Yeah, 4lb may be a bit much for most people. I think it really depends. Some people need the extra stiffness for their backs. I'd probably never fall asleep on a 4lb one though. The SmartBargains one is a definitely softer.

Though I think it could be a little bit bigger in all dimensions. It's a bit too thin and while I get some good sink, I don't really feel that I'm in a chuckey cheezes ball pen. Also it doesn't cover the bed completly; there's a 1" space all the way around. Also I tested it on different matresses and a good matress to begin with makes a big improvement.
As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals.

So far, I have been fairly satsified with the one I got from Boscovs. I have never tried a real firm one so I wouldn't have a clue as to which is better.

I got a boscov's memory foam mattress pad, and i'm not too happy about mine either... it's supposed to fit a queen size bed, but it barely fits my full-sized mattress. the comfort isn't great... i barely sink.. it'z pretty stiff.
yea... i wouldn't recommend it to a friend, or any of you

I bought a memory foam pillow at Sam's club.. I thought it was a Tempur-Pedic Swedish Neck Pillow, but it was a clone cost $20.00.
My friend bought the Tempur-Pedic Swedish Neck Pillow (the real thing, url tempurpedic.com) at Costco,
cost $30.00. We compared and mine was very light weight and his
was very heavy (maybe 4 lbs). Then after several months we compared again..
His was in great shape just like it had never been used.
Mine was as almost as flat as a pancake with no more memory.
What a waste of monies ...
I would like to get the memory foam mattress, but am concerned about any generic brand...

    Thanks
