Just to be clear, it is the 2MB cache version. But it is tempting for pure storage.
cool, thx for the info. i already bought the drive today, but i am goin to price match it in staples and use my $20 coupon.
i did the same thing. but wut i did was i ordered 50pk maxwell cd-r and the 120gb hard drive from staples, then inserted the 30 of 150 coupon.
$12.94 - Maxwell 50pk cd-r
$139.94 - Maxtor 120GB HD
--------
$152.88
- 30.00 - 23579 (not sure if it works anymore)
--------
$122.88
then when the shipment came in i called staples at 1800-333-3330 and asked them to pricematch the price of the harddrive to the one at compusa which is $119.99. so they gave me 110% of that price.
$122.88
-$22.00 - Pricematch to compusa
--------
$100.88
-$10.00 - Maxwell Rebate
-$40.00 - Maxtor Rebate
--------
$50.88
everyone might not get the same result at the end so just add your tax on $122.88. this is, i think, the cheapest you can get the drive. unless you can somehow get staples to pricematch the after rebate price of compusa's ad. but thats another topic. good luck and i hope its not too late fer a few ppl.
