    aim disconnections!!

    like every 15 minutes my internet hangs and aim disconnects and nothing online works. i have cable internet and my modem shows its online. i dont know what the prob is but its making me angry!!
    I have an athlon xp 2500+ ... aren't you glad you know that?

    cox, i checked their site and it says there has been no complaints for my area
    I have an athlon xp 2500+ ... aren't you glad you know that?

    I was having some real problems with AIM yesterday and so was my buddy who was on a different provider. Every couple of minutes it would say that the services were unavailable. POS!

    does it also happen, your internet hanging, when you are not on AIM?

    nope it only happens when i am on aim...and then it says services unavailible and goes back to the sign on screen

    Sometimes my ADSL modem indicates that I am online but actually I am not. Something wrong with CO. Anyway, if you can surf the website but you can't use AIM, most likely AIM servers are down for various reasons. Same thing happened to me when I used ICQ long time ago.
