there is probably an easier way than this but once i slaved the mandrake drive then i put it into a win 98 box and formated
alsi i think that partitioning utility in mandrake will make it all fat 32 as well (not sure on that one)
windows doesn't see drives that aren't windows. it's the genius of windows...to not be able to see anything but itself.
you can take it off with linux' fdisk. heck, you can boot the install routine for mandrake and use disk drake to put a fat partition on there. or you could use partition magic if you got it. or you could take redhat's install disk and use disk druid or linux fdisk. basically anything but the windows partitioning tool will let you do what you need.
