    Freeze Ups

I had a DIVX player that came with a Gator Ad system I wanted to get rid of, so I uninstalled the package. Gator is gone, but now I get freeze- ups when I am surfing the web. It doesn't seem to happen on non- web functions like gaming. I have WIn XP and am using Earthlink cable connection. I get a System Not Responding message.

There's probably a little piece of Gator or something left in there that's not working properly anymore.

I would get either Spybot S&D or Ad-Aware 6.0 and clean up your hard drive.

Thank you! I downloaded and ran Ad Aware which found 140 items including several related to Gator. I encountered two freeze-ups before I could get the download- but now things are running great so far. In fact, they seem to be running better. Thanks again!

Good to know. I don't use much spyware, but when I do, I'm always paranoid that there's little peices left...
