    160GB Maxtor 8mb 7200rpm ATA/133 $129 AR

    CrampUSA link

It'll say that it's Generic, but both the Model number and the rebate go back to Maxtor.

if you PM the drive to staples, who has it for 250 or so, then add a staples coupon, you can get the price down to just $102 shipped including tax (at least for me )

no rebates, since staples pricematches 110% AFTER REBATES. so you get the drive for $102 with no rebate hassles

    staples

use a $30 off 150 code, order the drive, then call them up and pricematch to compusa. total should be $98 or so with no rebate

and you can do this for pretty much everything?

Thanks, I PM it also, just couldn't use the $20 off code since I used it already but they said if I get another code, I can call it in at a later time.

so all i do is call it in and say i have a better price for this and give them the website?
also, any other 30$ coupon codes? only 20$ available on this site (i searched for it already).

just call them and say you want a pricematch....they'll call the local compusa to check that the drive is in stock. looks like they're starting to add compusa's shipping now, but it should still be a hot deal

so it HAS to be in stock?
compusa's shipping? that sucks, well how much more is that? if you know off the top of your head...

They were going to charge me $5 shipping because they said that CompUSA charges shipping. I then supplied them with my local CompUSA phone #, Staples called to verify it was in stock and it was so they didn't charge me the shipping charge. I tried all codes, the best I could do was $10 off with code 23700, my price $110.49 plus tax. The best part is there is no rebate to wait for, but the bad news. Staples told me they didn't have it in stock but they still expect me to get it within a week.

yea, they won't pricematch if the product that's being pricematched isn't in stock. Thats always been a term of staples' pricematch policy. i don't know how much more the shipping is, you should still end up around $105 or so

so if we enter a coupon it will be off the original price then right? and can we add other coupons too that have like something free?
and that hd at compusa doesnt say maxtor but i assume that when they call that compusa will say its a maxtor...

yes, yes, and yes. the actual maxtor part number matches exactly. you should've just ordered instead of asking all these questions

    Staples cancelled my order

After I went to the trouble to order this with pricematch, Staples called me today and said they cancelled it because it is out of stock.
