Sweet Toshiba e335 for $69 AR!

Ok check this out, but do it soon; it expires today (5/1/03).
    - Go to OfficeDepot.com, search for 537193. You will see Toshiba e335 Pocket PC selling for $299
    - Use this coupon code 20216343 for a 10% off discount.
    - Send in this Toshiba $100 rebate (expires 5/15/03) with the original UPC code.
    - Send in this Office Depot $100 rebate (expires 5/1/03) with a copy of the UPC code.
    $299 - 10% ($29.90) - $100 Toshiba rebate - $100 Office Depot rebate = $69.10

What are the links to the rebates?

I didn't see them on the OD site.

For the webrebates one, how do you know that:
1)They accept copies of any items
    2) You'll qualify for the $100 rebate versus the $50 rebate?

PS, nice deal by the way

Toshiba e335 Color Pocket PC $69

Just went down to Office Depot and picked one up. Office Depot will accept copies or origionals of the UPC and receipt. A rebate form for $100 printed out with the purchase so you don't need the one off of the internet. The Toshiba web site you pre-qualify for your rebate at their web site after putting in the UPC code and serial number from the box and lets you select what rebate offer you want. I picked the $100 and it prints out a pre-approved bar code with the $100 selection and your name on it that you send in for your rebate.

I checked this deal up and down and as far as I can see everything should go through without and problem. Even discussed the deal at Office Depot with the sales staff and they could see no pitfalls either.

    ALSO!

Also, they are bidding $190 (13 bids with two hours to go) for one of these things on Ebay right (Item # 3020734778) now so this does not appear to be to bad of a deal for 69 bucks.

Hey, I was looking at the Toshiba site and found another rebate, I'm not sure if you could try to send this one as well, but this would make it FAR. What do you guys think?

It looks similar to the $100 one, but it defenitely different.

    Wouldn't work anyway

Even if it had not expired, they want the original UPC code from the box so they would most likely would reject it anyway. Office Depots rebate form specifies original or copy where Toshiba wants the original or "nuttin".

    OH NO!!!!

    I am scared.

Just received the email from Toshiba on the preregister.
    1. Your completed rebate submission form,
    2. A copy of the original dated sales receipt showing the purchase was
made between October 15, 2002 and May 15, 2002, and
    3. Your original, complete product label cut away from the Pocket PC
computer box that includes the UPC barcode and numbers, Toshiba part
    Number, and Serial Number.
I doublechecked the website and it says May 15, 2003.
Looks like I need to print it out too just in case
    they try to back out.

Oh, the office depot website said "discontinued" when I
tried to purchase one. I had to goto the B&M and they
    would not take internet coupons.

Also, the $100 cash back rebate is what I pre-registered for.
    Total Price = $322.92 - $100 Office - $100 Toshiba = $122.92

    $69 Final Price

When I went to the B&M Office Depot, they put the 10% instant rebate code in but it didn't show on their computer so they did a price override in without a hassle. Final price was $299 - $30 instant rebate - $100 Office Depot rebate - $100 Toshiba rebate = $69.00 plus sales tax.
Yes, keep a copy of everything just in case. I kind of like the pre-approval system that Toshiba uses. Put in the date, serial number and UPC code number and it generates a tracking number and a printed form with a bar code on it that helps speed up your rebate. I put my tracking number in to test the system out and it found me and I have not even mailed the rebate in yet.

I called staples about this thing, and I pricematched it to the office depot price after their rebate, so I got it for 183 after pricematching, and could still use the rebate.

Then I saw a coupon online for 20 off of a $100 purchase.

I called them and asked them if I could add that rebate.

A rep there(matt) said let me pull that up.

I gave him my order number, and he told me that my order had been cancelled. He gave me the run around for a few minutes, so I called back and talked to someone else.

They told me that he actually cancelled my account(I'm assuming he did this when he tried to add the coupon code).

Then he couldn't redo my order since they were out of stock.

They told me they would call me in 5-10 days and see if I still wanted to buy the PDA, without the pricematching since office depot won't have this on sale for that long.

I'm going to call them back. It sucks that I'm going to have to pay 220 extra(no more price matching, and soon the toshiba rebate will run out) if I still want it just because their CSR screwed up....

    I called them back.

They said that it's no longer in ther catalog, and that they will never carry it again.

That means that I can never get the price matching, even if a manager there said I could.

Plus, they said that if I went to a staples store, AND they had the e335 in stock, AND had them call in to the staples phone number and see that I deserved at the lower price, I still would not be able to get it at the price I got($83).

The guy there told me I was pretty much out of luck on this, and that he was sorry there was nothing he could do.

He is now showing that the first male CSR I talked to in fact didn't cancel my order, they say that he could not have done that to an active order. Then again, if it had been a back ordered order from the beginning, the first CSR would not have asked for my CC number(which she did)

    POO ON STAPLES!!!!!
