As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals.
I was thinking about voting "Occationally" but i deicided against it.![]()
I wonder...if so many people don't really want to vote for one of the two parties ... what would happen if we all voted without fear of a wasted vote.

it's a difficult question.Originally posted by InfiniteNothing

on one hand, I often am unenthused about supporting either of the major-party candidates in an election.
third-party candidates often look nice, but i think this is more of a result of novelty than actual agreement with their platforms (in my case, at least. i realize all people don't feel this way). in most cases, third-party candidates tend to be far more strident in their beliefs, tend to hold extreme beliefs (at least part of which i disagree with) and have a utopian view of the world that would make it impossible for them to ever lead or govern effectively.
so while it's fun to flirt with the idea of voting for a third-party candidate, it truly would be a wasted vote for me (in most cases) because i would be voting for someone due only to the novelty that they brought to the process.
We should start a Got|Apex party. Some of us seem smart enough to run for President. So long as we didn't elect one of our extreemists...we'd be fine. Every issue would be thoroughly argued and we'd go with the most logical choice.
