Do Not Buy Pinnacle Instant Copy Using A Rebate!!

I bought Instant Copy from Buy.com about a month ago assuming that the $20 rebate would be honored.
Soon after I received it, I read on a newsgroup that the rebate was not being honored for online purchases. I figured: Nah, that couldn't be true.

    Today, I received an EMail:

Thank you for participating in our rebate promotion.

Your rebate submission has been received.
Unfortunately your rebate is denied for the following reasons:
    STORE RECEIPT NOT SUBMITTED
    SEND PACKING SLIP

It looks like they are looking for two items. I threw the packing slip away, but the store receipt from Buy.com should have been adequate.

I am not going to pursue this matter further, because I understand that Pinnacle is a horrible company to deal with along with their garbage software.

In the past, I have sent a print out of the receipt from the website and a copy of the packing slip for cases where i don't have a receipt that came with the product. Recently though, I just sent in a rebate for some DVD+R's from Buy.com and i only sent them a print out of the receipt. I figured, the rebate form requires you to send them the receipt not the packing slip. If your rebate form said to send a receipt and didn't mention a packing slip, I would complain to them about it. I always scan and save a image of the completed rebate form and all paper work ready to be mailed out.
