Free destop PC

I found this deal on the internet about a free PC (www.freedesktops.com); I did register for it but I am wondering if any of you guys there actually got this FREE PC? Please share any experiences / info

I signed up for this about 2 months ago, and I have heard nothign from them. They say that they give it to the most needy first, and then down the line to us "rich" folks. They do promise that everyone will get a computer. ALso I think a requirement is that you keep it on the internet for 10 hours a month, which isn't hard on a lan but is quite a bit harder when on one phone line.

They are just email and personal info harvestors. Stand far away from these type of deals.

I don't know about this company, but there are some companies that do provide the _use_ of a PC, if you will put up with their advertising. BTW, they may say they are giving them to the "needy" first, but that's a bunch of baloney. They give them to the people they think would most likely respond to the advertising and spam you would be flooded with.
