    Exclamation

If I remember correctly, the $30 off deal at Buy.com was for a $150 purchase. And this guy used 20 of them? Then he must have bought $3000 worth of stuff. Sounds like Money Bags to me.

You ppl are freakin morons... Do you not understand what a coupon is? I ordered mine yesterday and got a badass burner for ~$125 shipped...

Buy.com has $30 coupons for returning customers so it doesn't make a damn diff if 30 diff ppl use it or one person 30 times...

If you think taking advantage of internet companies is "fraud" then why the hell are you looking for hot deals? Why don't you pay full price and "keep them in business" you hipocrites...

    Thanks for the post Bonkers

How does Yamaha compare to Plextor? I also heard that people have had trouble getting the Yamaha to burn correctly at 8 speed. Anyone?

I swear this forum is becoming more and more like Anandcrap...people relax a little...I am sure most of us have taken advantage of one or more company web site screw up's. If the deal goes through and nothing ever comes from it, good for the people got in on the deal. I think we all know that there are consequences for our actions. Most of the time it is a simple E-mail saying they can't honor your request. Just don't start ripping other people on a deal they found. What is this forum for?...to find and post potential deals for everyone in the community...so in 2 words...chill out.

First of all people, take an easy on bonker will ya? Freakin' guy is only trying to share good things with us here. I mean isn't that why we join gotapex in the first place? So bonker, keep up the good work...but did u really use that code 30 times? Even if u did, i don't think that those net companies are losing money anyway. Think about it... do u people really think they're so dumb that they dunno about people on the internet sharing their coupuns? In a matter of fact, I think they're trying to make us share the coupons so they can make more in return.... right?
BTW ....wat's that link for $30 off again?

I don't understand why people are so harsh on this fraud thing.

Buy.com is obviously trying to get attention and name recognition. This is a marketing ploy to get people like us to discuss and pass on the deal.

Remember the 3 DVD's for a buck deal from 800.com??? Instead of running ads during the Super Bowl or Olympics, these folks are relying on word-of-mouth advertising.

If this could really "hurt" them, they would have already evaluated the risk to the company and given it the thumbs-down. They know this happens...

Plus, if someone does spend $3000 at a lower profit margin... that's still better than $100 at a higher margin.

Quick Question, I didn't check the buy web page for the drive when this deal was first posted. Was the price over $150 before you posted the deal? (I assume it was $156 - $30 = $126)The coupon is for $30 off $150 if I am not mistaken. I checked the buy.com web page today and the drive is now $148.95, just out of reach of the $150 mark. Of course you could add a cheap cd-r to bring it over $150, but shipping on 1 cd-r brings ths cost of the whole package up by $3 or $4. I know it's not much, but is buy.com doing that on purpose?

as long as he order all these drives in the same acct, how can this be fraud. i say that fraud is only when you register multiple accounts with different e-mail address to use the same coupon.

I agree, remember guys it was only like 2 or 3 people who made allegations or fraud...I think the more intelligent one's here appreciate and enjoy the deal bonkers posted.

Great find Bonkers, I ordered the drive and a can of tennis balls for $1.89, which did not add to the shipping costs.

I can finally put my very tired and hard working Memorex 2x2x6x drive to rest after almost 3 years of service. I loved that drive (CRW-1622)...$300 when I bought it, which was a steal at the time, and a zillion burns later.

Yeah, I got the tennis balls b/c it didn't add to shipping costs. Usually buying a cd-r adds a few bucks to the shipping.
