Who do you think is going to win...

    the NBA championship?

now i'd like this to be a neutral thread, please. no haters of ANY team, just voice who you think/like to win the championship.

Me, since my first team is out, i'm rooting for mavs.

OOPS! sorry about that folks, i messed up. so the choice for 76ers is actually for the nets. sorry about that.

I honestly think that the Mavs have a good chance. Everyone has counted them out as being too soft andd uncapable of winning big games, but they just banged with one of the toughest teams (Blazers) and beat one of thee most talented teams (Kings). If they continue to play the same way they are right now, they should be able to win.

My other choice would be the spurs. If you beat the Lakers, you should be able to win it all.

I don't think the Pistons can win because they have a trouble scoring, and that's not good when you face Duncan or the Mavs.

The Nets have a good chance. They have a good offence and play a great defense, but I still think the West is going to win.

The Spurs because they got the MVP and coach of the year. Their half court offense and defense are good plus nobody from Dallas could stop Tim Duncan. My original pick was the Kings before they lost Webber.

Hehe...I'm taking SA cuz I don't think that Dallas is going to be able to stop them and I have a feeling they're going to walk over the East pretty easily.

Dallas / Sac game last night was pretty fun to watch though.

I like the chances of DAL. If Dallas plays defense (which the barely do) they would win all. but you can't count out SA, they have their MVP and the coach of the yeah. I'm looking for DAL and SA to be an interesting series.

For Nets and Pistons, i would like to say Nets. but than again you got good defense from the Pistons so its pretty hard to tell. But i would like the Nets to win.

I'm hoping it'll come down to DAL and NJ for the NBA Championship.

Spurs. But I am starting to think the Nets have a legitimate shot at it.

Screw defense...as long as they challenge each shot, they'll be fine. They should run the ball like mad though. Only one team could run with the Mavs, and they're out of the playoffs (Kings). If they score 110+ there's no way the Nets, Spurs, or Pistons would be able to get that much.

If Dallas does pushes the game to their tempo than Spurs will barely have a chance. Mavs is a great shooting team and if they push up the court they'll have a big chance of winning.

Spurs well what can you say. They have good D. but can they run with the Mavs? Don't forget the Dallas has many players stepping up now. Especially Van Exel (who already has during the season).

i had to put in a vote for detroit, because i have pride in my pistons

that said, i don't think detroit can beat either san antonio or dallas (although i think their chances are better against the spurs. as someone else said, neither nj nor det can run with the mavs.)

personally, i think whoever wins in the west will win the title, and despite the mavs' upset of the spurs last night, i think san antonio will come out on top.
