    Ok... time to come clean

I wanna know what you currently have stashed away in the deepest corners of your house that was purcheased as an impulse buy from an infomercial or something like the Home Shopping Network...

    Don't be afraid/ashamed.

Has that item been used? Will you ever use it?

I purchased Memory Power one late night. I honestly don't know where I put it either(seriously). The last time I purchased something was that corner shelf thingy.

Brainsmile, time for you to come clean. Are you using all this info you are getting for a paper or something?

I don't think I've ever ordered anything from the TV. I see Oxyclean informercials once in a while, but I get that at Sam's.

When my grandma passed away a few years ago, her house was FILLED with "as seen on tv" crap. I swear, she fell for every commercial sales pitch. From hand-painted silver coins to Victor Borge commedy videos.

But all she did for the last 10 years of her life was watch tv. Probably the only non-family members she ever talked to were the operators who were always standing by...

The "Carlton Sheets No Down Payment" thing. It sucked. It was all creative stuff that if you tried it on someone selling their house, they'd prolly think you're some kind of scam artist.

It only works in a MAJOR buyers market.

I did send it back for a refund though. What's funny is that when I called to send it back, the operator asked why I'm unhappy with it. I told her it sucks and doesn't apply to the market in my area. She replies by offering for me to keep it and only pay half price. I answered, Do you think that half price will make it work better in my area?

    He he he.

I personally bought "The Chopper". It has been on Infomercials, but I got it at the California State Fair. They have whole areas dedicated for "Vendor Expositions" - you can experience your very own infomercial for a huge array of products.

As for "The Chopper", the damn thing works. Pretty fast and clean too.
    I think over again
    My small adventures, my fears.
The small ones that seemed so big,
For all the vital things I had to get and to reach.

And yet there is only one great thing, the only thing:

To live to see the great day that dawns,
And the light that fills the world.

I never buy anything off an infomercial, I can usually wait the 6 months when it hits stores and pay alot less. I do this with things like the george foreman grill, just waited till the price got cheap enough at a store like target instead of having to pay the inflated price of the infomercial.
