    Half-Life2 Video

Anyone have a link to the 600 meg or so Half-Life2 video? I know you can get it off Fileplanet but you have to have a paying subscription.

I said hell to the 600 meg one, it wasnt worth my time. I got the 200 meg one that was a zip of 7 AVI files, still gets the same point as the 600, just easier for those who are bandwidth limited.

I don't think this'll stop anything though - the better you idiot-proof a system, the more impressive the idiot becomes.

If any of you guys are designers, skilled in programin or perhaps something related to half-life like mapping...I, along w/ my old CS clan leader, are throwin together a mod team for hl2 this summer!

We are still working on what we would like to create, but if you believe you have some skill, and would like to become a part of our addition, toss me a mail at [email protected] -need name, e-mail, contact info, background info, and also some previous work you have done beforehand...

I nabbed it last week and all I can say is screw Doom III, this looks just as good if not better!

I just got an upgrade for my compy, and the Doom III alpha runs smoothly now, maybe at 25-30 fps (I heard talk that they wanted players to play around that level for a cinematic feel). Even though that wasn't even beta, I am extremely impressed with HL2's physics system and shaders. Story looks to be a little bit better than "the gates of Hell opened on our moon base and now I have to kill the baddies"

Well, HL2 is definitely a winner in the fun factor category. However, I think Doom III will really immerse you into the game. I think they are both trying to achieve different things and both will be great games.

Doom III is going to an "experience", whereas HL2 is gonna be fun as hell. Oh yeah, and Doom III is gonna scare the beejeezus outta ya.
