    The prices for this memory are dropping too fast for me to buy one

    I'm still happy with the couple 128 CF I have so I'll continue to wait as these 512 and 1G prices fall faster each month. Nice deal though for the 512.

    Not sure how much farther it will drop in the near future. Working in the Flash industry I can say that all the current parts are going out at or below manufacturing costs. Unless someone dumps a bunch to go out of business I don't see any significant drops in pricing. Rebates to generate numbers at the end of a quarter are a different matter alltogether though.

    Prices for electronic goods always drop with time

    You may be right in the short term that prices won't drop very much. But like all electronic components, the prices become cheaper and flash memory is no exception. There will be 4 MB digital camera for under $200, 1G flash memory under $100, P4 2.4 notebooks under $1000... (the notebook prices are true today).
