I heard Larry Brown is the new Pistons head coach.
The Pistons are reportedly interested in former 76ers coach Larry Brown
Well the Wizards finally canned Collins on Thursday {yeah nice going leaving him twisting in the wind}. That was done since Brown told the Wizards he wouldn't talk with them if Collins was under contract. Lets see, the Wizards are now free to pursue Brown. lol like he would sign with this woeful team. Hell anyone in their half-right mind is running from this team. btw Collins has 3 years and $10 million remaining on his contract-more vacations in Hawaii anyone?

After stating last week that they wouldn't let the 76er's talk to Maurice Cheeks the Portland Trailblazers will allow the talks so that they can pursue Rick Carlisle. Van Gundy may wind up in Houston. What a merry-go-round. I want to coach too.
interesting moves with rick out and brown in.
obviously, it's great to have an excellent coach in larry brown, but i still have concerns about whether brown is a championship coach or if he's a developmental/turn-around coach.
not that there's anything wrong with being the latter, but what detroit needs right now is a championship coach. this is definitely a big test for brown and a chance to prove that he's one of the great coaches.
i also have a problem with the fact that it appears that carlisle was fired not for performance reasons but because he didn't get along with the owner. poor basis on which to make a decision, imo.

Carlisle has gotten his team to overperform for two seasons straight. it'll be interesting to see Brown with Milicic.
