Can anyone help me out? I'm looking to buy a Dell Inspiron 5150 laptop. Seems $1200 is a fair price for that loaded baby right now. But does Dell usually have better deals around holidays like thanksgiving or x-mas? Does anyone know? Or should I just buy it now if they don't?

Generally, the longer you wait the cheaper it will be. If you're not in a hurry, you might want to just keep an eye on the website as Dell changes their specials weekly (on Wednesdays, I think). You can hold out for a better deal & maybe even a 10% off coupon.

Another option is to have a look at the refurbished machines - http://www1.us.dell.com/content/prod...=22&l=en&s=dfh

Sometimes you can get a great deal on a refurb, sometimes the price for a new machine is the same or even less, so a big YMMV.

Well, for the 5150 it's 150 off 1499 and in Dell Home too, which seems kind of rare, plus a 200 rebate and free shipping no tax...can you really get cheaper than that?
