    Cameron Diaz to Have Fun With Dick and Jane

    Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle star Cameron Diaz will has joined Jim Carrey in director Barry Sonnenfeld's remake of the 1977 comedy Fun With Dick and Jane. Brian Grazer is producing the film at Columbia Pictures for a fall start.

    The original Columbia film starred George Segal and Jane Fonda as an upper middle-class couple who turn to pulling heists to pay the bills.

    Cameron Diaz was the favorite for the role. Catherine Zeta-Jones was also considered a strong candidate.

    Judd Apatow, who has been working with Carrey since they began as standup comics, wrote the new version of the comedy.
