The dreamcast rebate, doesnt require proof of purchase nor serial number of your dreamcast at all, i believe it is verified by either a signal in the dreamcast console when you log on to there sega.net ISP, or verified one rebate per a household, i had to rebates sent to two addresses hopefully i get 2x$50 rebates ehehe...i know i greedy but if it works who knows have yet to see it come...the only verification it ask on the phone is SKU number 5000 or 5001 series..

once that is given you are given logon/password and phone number to dialup and from there you enter personal information

    i hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. The rebate program started 6/4. I wonder how and if they kept those that bought before 6/4 from getting the rebates.

I don't think there is a way to really stop ppl from getting rebates on older dreamcast. I mean all you gotta do is say "I bought it at a store on so and so a date". I know a lot of stores around here didn't sell out of dcs and might have had an older one still available at this point ... so you should be able to tell em that ... go try .. can't hurt right
