I appreciate the other choice, but I am really trying to find a Linksys.

Yeah, go with the Linksys. I actually tried a 802.11g wireless router from Netgear and it sucked.
Currently, I'm using the wrt54g and it works nicely after a few minor mishaps. If the lowest price you've found so far is $118, that's pretty good from when I was looking around. A good resource is also eBay. They always have these there.
Personally, I got mine from Circuit City after returning the NetGear which I got from somewhere else and, after everything, I think I came out paying about $90 for the router. But not through any special deal, though.
On a side note, if you want to use the wrt54g, it only runs on 2.4gHz frequencies, so don't plan on using a 2.4gHz phone around the router or your laptop with the router running. I always hear clicks and pops when close to the router, and my connection drops when I'm by the laptop. I have to use my 900mHz when I'm around the computer.

Thanks for the advice about location. How did you work a deal for $90? I'm going to hold out for a few days see if anything good comes out or someone shares a deal

Thanks! I saw that as soon as I open up gotapex.
Just to let you know Cisco has bought out Linksys. I think the Linksys routers will be getting cheaper as soon as Cisco assimilates Linksys. But that's just my opinion (actually that is according to the letter I received from Linksys).

Thanks asiong for the info. I guess I had my head buired in the sand and missed the Cisco purchase. I wonder if the product line will be discontinued. And will this have an adverse effect on the products by Linksys.
according to Cisco, they are planning to continue with the success of the Linksys routers. I had to "reregister" my Linksys router with Cisco in order to receive my "free" support. If you have worries of them discontinuing the product, I don't think you should. Cisco would be crazy to get rid of a good thing.
