i didn't like debian a whole lot. but that prolly means it'll be just your thing, mr nija. i'm kinda curious why the multiple disks. rh releases often just use the first 2 disks (and could use just the first one if they wanted to), and just have extras on the rest.

well i've been playing with VMWare lately, and I've been wanting to try all these different types of *nix and when I went to linuxsio.org, they had like 8 different cd, so i got 7 of them (the 8th was a non-US installer)
I couldn't get RH7.1 to work, freeBSD 4.8 to get past the video card problems (i would select the ti4600 dirver, and it would go black and i would have to turn off the virtual machine)
So i've just been wanting to try all these different flavors, to see if there is more to nix than mandrake, while still runing mandrake![]()
i've also had problems with video cards and linux on vmware![]()

Remember that VMWare is a virtual machine -- which does not use the same hardware that exists in your real PC. Therefore, selecting "Geforce 4 Ti4600" in the video card config screen won't work.
If you go to the VMWare Knowledgebase, and type in "Installing <whatever_linux_distro>" you will find detailed instructions on how to install Linux properly in VMware. For example, type "installing Red Hat 8.0" and you'll see the correct article.

pr0nThere is always a steady stream of porn coming down. Aside from that I'm getting The Best of Barry White, a couple episodes of Battlestar Galactica, and Bruce Almighty.
