    Basically there's a high demand for empty printer cartridges because of it's resell refill value. The ink you buy for 30 is refilled and resold for I guess half.

    One man's trash is another's treasure which could be worth millions. As a side note Office Depot takes your cartridges gives you a ream of recycled paper (at least I think they still do) and then sells their own brand of ink using the empties.

    hmmm i knew there was something fishy about those damn office stores taking back cartriges.

    not to mention hp sending ups shipping lables to send back toner to them and walmart takes in ink tanks as well .... there are places online that will trade you ink carterages as well 3 or 3 empties for 1 refiled

    I think the difference with HP is that they make new cartridges out of the recycled material instead of just refilling old ones.

    All the original ink manufacturers always say their cartridges are indended for single use only. It would be really sketchy if they refilled ink cartridges after making such a claim.

    when i was working at best buy, my buddy came up with a genius idea for free ink cartriges...bascially, you buy the same printer that you have (or one that uses the same ink cartriges) and return it later sans included ink cartriges. needless to say, he was always looking for a scam.

    someone i know buys a replacement ink cart then takes baco old one with reciept and claims cart is dried up and gets a new ine in exchange
