Halflife Configs for TFC and CS

Hey all you halflife fans! I would like to ask if any of you have good configs. I don't know exactly what i'm talking about, a brief desciption will be in short order but first i want to ask if any of u guys know what the best way to learn how to make your own. Should i use someone else's config before trying to use my own?

The config is basically your own programmable commands. kindof like macros for word, using commands in the console and alias commands to do complicated things like long jumping, or conc jumping, etc.. I mainly would like to use it for my own custom zooming system for multiplayer. I'm very bad at sniping, and i think it might help. Besides that it's a very powerful thing! If you don't know about it, i urge u to at least check it out, cuz you can't take my word for it. I haven't even tried one yet.

by long jumping or high jumping, you hold duck and then u press jump.(run for long jump) by ducking,u might have better accuracy in sniping.
