    Best Energy Drink?

Personally I like Sobe No Fear. I think Red Bull tastes really really bad. I haven't had Rockstar though I've heard it's good. 180 is okay and monster sucks. Jolt makes a espresso and coke drink that is...interesting...it's good? I dunno, the best tasting one with the most buzz seems to be No Fear, what do you guys use to give yourself the shakes?

red bulls are nasty, but definitely give the most energy the quickest...

the sobe adrenaline rush tastes better but the burst of energy comes a little more slowly...

i haven't tried the mountain dew one yet.

I'm waiting to try some BAWLZ, but I hear that's good.

Right now, I primarily buy something called "XS Energy Drink." Yes I'll admit that it's a Quixtar exclusive product (no need to bring up the negatives of MLM-schemes guys), but since a friend of mine is still "in the business" I can buy the stuff from him.

I'm a fan of the Sobe Adrenaline. Tastes better with vodka.

Those products are loaded with caffeine, right?

A guy I know gets a liquid from seasilver.com. It's very expensive but he claims it gives him incredible lasting energy, unlike caffeine which lasts for a short time.

let me ask you guys, what is the big deal with energy drinks? Isn't caffeine kinda of a waste because you are becoming essentially chemically dependent. I mean what in your life is soo important that you arent able to simply wait for tomorrow rather than down some unhealthy product of consumerism. I am not trying to criticize, but the idea is entirely foreign to me and possibly you could open my eyes.

    thanks

Answer: 60-65 hour work weeks with an hour and a half commute either way.

And when not working, I need energy to go burn off all the steam into the wee hours of dawn.

My drink of choice? About 4 mugs of strong tea each workday.

i saw either red bull or the mountain dew one...they help when i'm driving really late...

and i agree with zenbooty, when i was commuting, there were days when it'd be like a 2 hour commute in traffic. and when you're dead tired for studying/working the night before? you don't really want to sit in a car going no where cause you're kinda falling asleep at the wheel.

for me, the energy drinks are just a pick-me-up for the really bad days, when i'm passing out in meetings. other then that, i drink black tea because it has caffeine, but also cuz makes me all nice and toasty inside when my cube is chilly!

and btw, there is a LOT of things that can't wait until tomorrow... i doubt "oh, i'm exhausted, but i don't want to succomb to the evils of consumerism so i'll just do that tomorrow k?" will work well with my boss!
    Have a groovy day!

Red Bull for me but I haven't had in a long time. I did use it when I was to and back from NYC to keep me awake. The drive there wasn't bad but on the way back it was horrible. Traffic, rain and accidents made the trip last 5-6 hours I think coming back to MD.

    Jolt Cola is the best!!!

I used to down ripped fuel or xenedrine back when it had ephedrine in it and washed it down with mountain dew. Talk about being wired. I'm surprised I'm still alive.

EAch semester at school we're given 100 "free" (aka you already pay crap loads of tuition let's make it look like we're giving something back to you) dollars to use in the campus food court and little quicky mart type place. Most of this money goes directly towards filling the fridge with energy drinks. I really enjoy the Bawls Guarana that just so happens to come in a blue bottle...(I know what you're thinking)....it doesn't have the 'mmph' that most energy drinks have in the flavor department but it's really good. I also buy a lot of Mountain Dew Amp energy drinks, those also taste really good, kind of like supercharged Dew. Then there's the Starbucks Doubleshots...they taste great until the after taste, which reminds me of sweaty socks or smething bad like that.

i don't typically drink energy drinks -- i make it a general policy to stay away from caffine.

but one night, i was driving back from columbus at about midnight, had 3 hours on empty roads ahead of me, and was feeling like i was going to fade. so i stopped and bought a bottle of red bull and downed it (mind you, about the most caffine i've ever had in a dose was probably a coke).

i never felt the slightest energy boost, and within 40 minutes i was pulled off on the side of the road for a short nap.

what gives? since i avoid caffine, shouldn't it follow that when i get it in a huge dose from red bull, i should be super-wired?

i actually like the taste of red bull. when i need to stay awake for any reason, i usually buy a couple of them.

and lately, i've tried the starbucks double shots, and those seem to work pretty well too. only thing is, i've noticed my bowels have some adverse reactions to it...

the whole driving part makes heaps on sense. I have been there and done that, i just usually try to sleep more the next time or think of something exicitng in an effort to jump start the ole endocrine system into releasing some good time chemicals. caffeine always gave me a little bit of headache so iv stayed away from it mostly

I really haven't noticed a boost of energy either from these things. But I like the taste of sobe no fear. I just like sobe in general.
