    college degree in activism

    Instructors include environmentalist, 'ecofeminist witch'

A San Francisco college is offering something for the socially conscious this fall that they'd never get marching in the streets: a degree in activism.

For $5,500 to $6,000 a semester, New College of California is offering bachelor's and master's humanities degrees with a concentration in ''activism and social change.''

There are three things people never get formal training in, Benjamin said: how to raise children, how to handle money and ''how to change the world.''

    ------------
    Where else but San Francisco.

This sounds like a good idea for people that don't want to stick with the statis quo, though it does sound like an easy major.

Seriously, though, people need to stop confusing criticism with hate. Many of the people who criticize this country do it out of love and patriotism, and by doing so, they show much more respect for this country than those who sit around on their asses and do nothing.
It is not enough to merely touch the face of god; you also must open your eyes so that you may see your palm.

What are you, some kind of French-commie liberal? NO QUESTIONING ALLOWED!
Shall we buy a new guitar?
Shall we drive a more powerful car?

He's right . I think the degree is useless, though.
