NSS: DVR From My Cable Company

My cable company is going to start to offer DVR service (35 hours) for $6.95 a month. I was just about to buy a TiVo, so this will save me beaucoup $s . . . probably won't offer quite the same features . . . but the price difference between paying for the hardware of a TiVo and the monthly service fee makes it a no brainer!

What cable company, and what area? I've heard that Comcast has been doing some beta trials with this stuff.

Excellent, maybe Cablevision will follow suit since they are neighbors! (hopefully)

i guess... to buy the box it's ~$200 i believe, though if you know someone who works there u can get it for $99. the service is only $4.99 a month.

    look-ma:
the DVR's are Digital Video Recorders like TiVo that enable you to record and manipulate live TV, such as pause for commercials, rewind to watch a part you missed, etc. everyone i've talked to says it'll will pretty much change your life!
    Have a groovy day!
