Thread: IRQ conflict

I dunno if this will effect my monitor problem, but my sound card cannot seem to find the proper irq channel to run the Sound blaster emulation. I have disablerd the device (I'm not sure what it does), but I would like it to work. Any suggestions?

Also, my computer was running on compatibility mode (whatever that means) when I first installed windows. This was fixed when I installed a "SCSI Highpoint Ultra DMA controller" device provided by my motherboard company for the be6-ii. The thing is I didn't know I had anything SCSI on my comp!! Is this right?

Don't know if this is going to fix problem but from expriance it might be best to install the things one at a time meaning put in the video card then boot up then put in sound card. it helps in irq configuring at least that was true when i reaggarened and added stuff to my win98 machine .
