Asus p3v4x, FC-PGA P3 700e, Abit Slotket!!!, 384MB pc-100. Ran perfect at 933 all day long. Turned it on last night, nothing, rebooted it, went right into bios, to the 'power' section, all voltages were either 2.82 or -1.6 volts. cpu core=2.82, +12v=5.00v, all others = -1.0v. after reboot, nothing, all night. brought it the store I bought it for rma, they plugged it in, ran perfect. Came home, plugged it all back in, been perfect ever since. Huh? did I miss something? should I be worried?. I really dont want to fry this 700cB0, it does 933, intel retail fan, at 1.65v
    any thoughts?
    thanks

I have no idea what could cause this but could it be the power to your house. Did you have it plugged into a power conditioner or anything?

I wonder if you were having some kind of a brown out or something that affected your power supply. That would explain why it only happened one time and it is running ok again. Like I said though, I have no idea this is just a shot in the dark. Hopefully someone else can give you more info on what might cause it. Deffinatly a strange problem though.

    Thumbs up

thanks for the opines, something to look into, knock on wood. The only diff in the mobo, and I'm not real sure if this is a change, but when it boots up now, it only lists the agp card, the usb, and the hd controller in pci listing, doesnt see the 10/100 nic, the usr pci2976, or the sblive.
They all work in windows, maybe someone has an idea on this. The reason I bring it up is before when I was using my vortex2 2500, it showed up.
Oh well, the 'big guy' works in mysterious ways, huh?
