can't say i like reality shows either, but i have to say i like temptation island for the absolute stupidity of the people on the show.
basically, they found some random guy to participate in a bogus reality show called "Lap of Luxury." the only thing is, everybody else on that same show is an actor playing a part. so the whole show revolves around this guy's reactions to the things that happen around him, and the various things they do under the guise of being part of "Lap of Luxury."Originally posted by RoniMan

having said that, i also hate reality shows, and i don't watch much tv period... but i'm watching the re-broadcast of the show (i didn't get home early enough to watch it when they aired it at 9), and it is FREAKING HILARIOUS!

yeah i was thinking the same thing. and altho most of the actors are pretty convincing, they come off pretty hokey sometimes...

It does seem that "Joe Schmo" is a "guys guy" which does make me wonder if he's fake too....

Did anyone notice how the 7 votes for Gina had funny stuff on them like !!! and a little happy face where the dot in the "i" was supposed to be?
The idea of having everyone's face on a dish and the one that gets voted out gets their dish broken is a pretty funny parody of other reality shows too.
My wife and I were again watching this last night - I can't believe how much of a tool this guy really is.

Anyone catch the series finale? Matt was freakin' out when he found out that it was all fake. Everyone started crying because they felt bad about fooling him the whole time.
I think it's pretty awesome that he got to keep all of the prizes offered - even the ones that he didn't win.

It's funny - he really is that nice and sincere a guy. It is nice to see that there are still people like that out in the world (and they do have their day - even if it's on a show called Joe Schmo).
