Neat movie...except the end...(but I digress for those that haven't seen it)

As cool as the HK Match pistols were...Tomb Raider beat her to them-director should have chosen a different gun.

Donnie and a buddy of his went to see it Friday afternoon. They said it wasn't bad. They both agreed that she looked good and that is what they paid attention to the most...

Heh, I'll tell you within the next 3 days.
It is not enough to merely touch the face of god; you also must open your eyes so that you may see your palm.

    Bastid.

Anyway, I just got back from watching it, and I really liked it. Of course, I'm a weirdo and like just about any vampire movie. I thought there were a few too many cliches--or they seemed to show up at the most prominent moments, anyway--, but there were still far fewer than Hollywood's usual fare. Besides, if you make a movie about vampires, you will run into cliches eventually. As for the people that complained about it being a cheap rip-off of the Matrix, I think you need to pass on the crack pipe the next time it comes around. And for the people that think there wasn't enough/good enough action in the movie, I'm sorry if the story got in the way.

And now, for the really important part: Kate can bite me any day!

Just the thought of vampires and werewolves fighting fascinates me. It was pretty much what I expected. Kate looking really hot in her leather . Vampire and Werewolf fans I give it two thumbs up.

I guess you could do better, but until I see a demonstration, I won't be convinced.

I went to see it last night -- I tried to like it, but something was missing! It was a little confusing for the first half of the movie with Marcus, Lucien, Victor, and that other vampire dude in charge of the mansion to remember (I remembered Selene just fine ). Very scary when the lichens were climbing on the walls towards her! They show that in the previews, so that's not a spoiler

    ski's overall rating: 7/10

well, get ready for 2 and 3

    Get Ready for Underworld 2 & 3!
Source: Variety Thursday, September 25, 2003

Underworld is set to become a trilogy for Lakeshore Entertainment and Screen Gems. Screen Gems has made a deal for Danny McBride and Len Wiseman to write a sequel to the vampire and werewolf thriller, which Wiseman has said he would again direct.

Screen Gems and Lakeshore hope to put the second film into production as soon as possible. A third film, a prequel, could follow. No deal is in place for star Kate Beckinsale, though she has expressed interest in reprising her part.

The first film earned $21.8 million last weekend, Screen Gems' best opening for a film ever.

Yeah, they completely set it up for a sequel. It will be interesting to see what they can do with a bigger budget.

Heh I am a fan of vampire movies. **Blade 3 woooooo!!! **

I saw is this weekend. I liked it mostly.. it was entertaining and had some cool scenes. The plot was lacking a bit IMO (don't want to give away anything here) but i didn't really expect it to be all that great anyways.

I personally like really intense fight scenes, swords are the best not enough of that in this movie, still fun though.

hmm... honestly i thought this movie was gonna be just like Blade, except instead of having a kickass-kung-fu-sword-guy, you have a sexy-hot-chick-in-leather-with-guns.

20 million is not a lot of money to make a film. Hell, they probably spent a quarter of that just on the film itself. And considering that most Hollywood films have budgets in the 100's of millions, I think 20 is fairly low.

It was an interesting movie, it surely made you think about the whole what is good and what is evil perspective.

As for those machine pistols, there are such things? Cool, anyone have more information on those?

Do a search for Beretta 93 and Glock 18. I don't know if H&K ever produced a machine pistol.
