Spy-Hunter is Next for The Rock!

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will make Spy-Hunter, an adaptation of the classic 1980s videogame, his next film. Universal, which this weekend releases Rock's latest, The Rundown, is considering the movie for a summer 2005 tentpole slot.

Based on the Midway game, the story is about an ex-fighter pilot who fights spies and assassins with his high-tech G-6155 Interceptor car.

Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, who wrote 2 Fast 2 Furious, are scripting and no director has been set yet. Production is scheduled for spring 2004.
