What's so lame about this commercial is that Nike is the one who kept woman's sports down. They only started advertising in the last 5 years. They only go where the $ is.

You know why female atheletes get paid less? It's because nobody wants to see them play. At least not nobody with $. What percentage of the US populace women would pay $500 so see a woman Superbowl. Now the guy populace? Even my sister thinks WNBA is "unwatchable" and prefers watching NBA. BTW, GO LAKERS baby!

yeah, that commercial does piss the hell out of me too. i saw it for the first time this weekend with my girlfriend sitting next to me, and i went off on the stupid commercial for like 5 minutes. My girlfriend never even tried to defend it all (good choice on her part).

If people wanted to watch women sports, they'd get paid more... It's like why Synchronized swimmers don't get paid much in the US... no one wants to see it. I normally like Nike commercials, but that one is just stupid and annoying. Ever try to watch a WNBA game? It's not even as good as a high school game.

If women athletes want to get paid as much as men, let them play with men in the same league that is.

Perhaps female compensation is a reflection of other preconceptions we have. For instance, female porn actresses are paid maybe twice to three times what men are paid. Will we only pay women more in roles we expect of them? Perhaps it's because women HAVE been kept down that we don't want to watch them...that's just the other side of the coin, folks.
The thing that pisses me off the most in the gender sports debate is Title IX in college. All sorts of men's teams are getting axed because schools have to give equal money to men and women's sports. That's just ridiculous. Football obviously costs A LOT more than, say, softball. That means schools must choose between footbal, a bedrock collegiate sport, or a handful of smaller men's and women's teams. Tell you the truth? If you want to go play badmin, go to a school with a strong badmin program, and don't make a school have to choose. I don't give a rat's ass about some of these sports, and the school populations don't either. Yet some schools are even being forced to lose their "strength" sports, like BYU's gymnastics teams. My fingers are tired, so I'll say this: sad, sad, sad.

Yeah I don't care too much for the Wassup commercials cuz I've been saying a Ghetto form of Wassup! to my friends for years and now everybody who doesn't know me thinks I'm "doing it wrong". Whatever...
