yeah for the first 90 days they will pay for the shipping. mine was 16 days past that. i would be so embarrased as a company to contend that my product worked a little over 90days so we won't cover the return shipping.

That happened to me on a Canon Printer a couple of year ago.
I had to give them my credit card to get the refurbished item first. They only hold the number as insurance, never actually charge it. After I received the replacement, I reported the card stolen and closed the account. Canon eventually called me asking for the product and in the end they paid for the S/H to send the bad printer back.
I'm not telling you to do the same. But it worked for me. And I never bought another Canon item again.

i bought a KDS monitor a little over three months ago. The damn thing dies on me. So I give KDS my credit card number so they advance ship a refurb monitor to me-nice, but they Want ME to pay for shipping the bad one back!!!! $40 f*ck them

Jeez, that does suck. I thought KDS was a pretty respectable/mid-grade make of monitor...I guess not!

so good news, i found the original receipt and it showed that in fact i had purchased it within 90 days. I emailed them the copy of the receipt. Even then they gave me grief that the serial number was incorrect. i read it to them from my copy. Her response,"we'll pick it up between 1 and 5 tomorrow" and she hung up

i've had my 19" kds monitor for almost 2 years without a problem yet!

i think that's that same model i have! bought at about the same time! for $400 too!!

my kds monitor just broke as well. only it took them 2 tries to send out a working replacement. gotta go out to the post office today and send the old one back.
