About a month ago, my pain doctor read a study which indicated that for some unknown reason botox injections have been shown to put my alleged condition into remission/stop it. He told me that if I didnt respond to my last treatment that he would like to do the Botox treatment which is experimental before he tried the nerve block which involves a 10"needle under my spine to hit my nerve bundle. Mostly because its less invasive...he then told me that he wasnt sure if I even had the condition that required these treatments. I asked him if insurance would cover it...he didnt know.
Either way, I got a call last week to schedule the botox injections. I asked if they had cleared it with the insurance and I was told that they had not even tried, they needed to schedule the appointment before they went to the insurance. So today, I called the doctors office to check on the insurance....and the fockers didnt call me back. I will try to reach them again tomorrow, but if I dont hear from them I am going to have to cancel the procedure because I am not paying $2000 for experimental injections!
