    It's raining ash right now

    It's raining ash right now. The sky is orange, and there is this continuous smoky brown/orange haze occuring. It smells like smoke inside my house, and it's acrid and strong outside.

    It's sorta eerie to see this "snow"-like thing. It reminds me of that scene from Schindler's List (at the concentration camp)

    me too. But that had to have smelled worse. It's so unusual but it would be so much worse if you knew that the ash came from burning people.

    i think pasadena is about an hour or so from where the fires are. i had friends that went home to that area this weekend and said it wasnt that bad. here in irvine though, we have the smell of smoke and everything is covered with a light layer of ash

    i'm a city south of pasadena...

    every morning i go down to see my car.. there's always this thin layer of ashes on my car... i wash them off, but its just weird, cause to my understanding the fire isn't that close to me...
    oh wells, hope no body lost their house here

    yay! glad to hear my hometown is still in one piece. if only we could say that for the people that already lost their homes....my condolences go out to those
