Godd$*&#it I just logged onto Remarq to check my newsgroups and found an announcement proclaiming it has been sucked up by Critical Path, who want to gouge you with a subscription fee to join Supernews. What a drag - I was subscribed to a bunch of discussion groups over there and now I have to try to remember what they all were, search for them etc. Those dicks at Critical pulled the plug with no warning to let Remarq subscribers get prepared.
I set up a free account at Deja but they don't seem to offer one of Remarq's best features - the ability to track specific threads and alert you when new replies are posted. In the past I also found that Deja's database wasn't as complete as Remarq's.
Are there any other free newsgroup sites out there? Deja's not so bad I guess, but I'm used to better, and want to know what the alternatives are.

Okay, not sure if you're asking for a newsgroup, which I don't know anything about, unless that's where they send you news via email. I get that through CNN and it's free. Or, you might be talking about something like e-groups, which I think is a discussion group thingy. I don't really know anything about this stuff. I'm just trying to guess. Hope this helps.
