I have an athlon xp 2500+ ... aren't you glad you know that?

Five years...
Second that for TotalRecorder.
I believe the unregistered version only allows you to record a couple minutes at a time, though.
any free ones that i dont have to register?

If you have certain models of SoundBlaster like the Live and Audigy series, you COULD technically just use the built-in windows Sound Recorder and change the recording device in the audio properties to "What U Hear".
That's a low budget way of doing it. Just make sure you turn off all of your system sounds and IM clients.![]()

The other caveat about TotalRecorder is that it installs its own sound driver which works great within the program, the sound is really lousy when I use Winamp or WMP.
I usually switch back to the "regular" audio drivers when I'm not using TotalRecorder.
I think this merits some experimenting on my side-- I've never tried recording streams from Winamp-- only Real or WMP.
I find that this works great

Enjoy!
Streamripper won't record from Digitally Imported -- that much I discovered myself a while back.
It works just fine when I use it to rip that.Originally posted by GuruX
