    Weird little Word/Outlook printing issue

One of my users has a Word document that contains macros. Sometimes when she tries to print from Word (with Outlook open as well), the Print dialog box will not open. If she closes Outlook, the Print dialog box will open normally, and sometimes it will print even with Outlook open.

Why would a macro cause an intermittent conflict with Outlook? I've removed and reinstalled both apps, run a Repair of Office XP, blah blah blah. She's the only one with the problem - the same files work perfectly on everyone else's computers.

    Any ideas?

I assume all the computers are running the same operating system. Sounds like you've done everything that I would have done. This is a long shot, but try running Spybot and AdAware to see if it picks up an erroneous files that could be causing some terrible conflict.

The one other thing to check is the following: In the Outlook options settings, if you click on the Mail Format tab there should be an option that says: "Use Microsoft Word to edit email messages"

Try toggling that setting to see if it fixes your problems. I have noticed that when the box is checked off, it slows down my computers running Win2K
