Recent Movies: Decent Films are actually being made again...
    (1 - 10 10=high)

    Gladiator - 8
Best film of the year I have seen, cineamatography is excellent, and story is fantastic, acting was a little shallow. 2.5 hours can drag, but the constant action makes up for that.

    U-571 - 8
Saving Private Ryan Under Water! Best Submarine movie in a long time, although it is quite action orientened, I feel it was done nicely. Also quite long. (get what you paid for)

    Frequency - 6.5
Cheesy Story, yet mystery involves viewer, solid acting and overall a quality production. (Recommended as Movie to take girlfriend to.)

    BattleField Earth - 2.5
(Have Not Seen, Will not be Seen!)
Just from reading the reviews and seeing the trailer, I realize I will never rent this movie. WaterWorld looks awsome compared to this.

Movies I am looking forward to!
    Gone in 60 Seconds
    MI:2
    Dinasour (gotta love Disney)
    ROAD TRIP!

Feel Free to add comments or movies I have not listed!

I've been wanting to see U-571, hopefully it is as good as you say it is. Saving Private Ryan was a GREAT movie!

    Thanks for your reviews.

I would like to see ALL of those movies. I will only see Battlefield Earth, though, if I can see it for FREE. The previews for all of those upcoming ones look pretty sweet.

The best thing about Battlefield: Earth is that I saw it for free. The worst part is that I stood in line for an hour to do so.

It starts out with cheesy opening credits and a bunch of 1970's made-for-TV-movie curtain wipes. The soundtrack is so loud you can't hear yourself think. I gave it the benefit of the doubt for about 5 minutes, until the scene where the hero leaves his village, and his gf gives him a necklace. She tells him, "Your mother gave me this before." *blink* *scratch head* *eat popcorn* "She died." I swear this woman learned to act from William Shatner.

Anyway, this is the worst movie I've seen since Warriors of Virtue (at least _that_ had ninja kangaroos.) It's not even worth seeing as a 'bad movie' movie. It's not worth renting. It's not worth downloading off of usenet. It's not even worth reading reviews of.

And dammit, they didn't even give out free e-meters at the preview, just a bunch of radio station bumper stickers.

American Psycho was an interesting movie...the beginning was great, but then
the end of the movie was just way out of control. I did enjoy it, but boy, it was one weird movie!
