Couple days late posting this, but...to everyone who said that they would join the "book club", and read the Davinci Code...I guess this thread is here to do whatever a book club does.....
soo....err, what does a book club do once it finishes reading?
Do we discuss the book???
I kinda liked it, but being a christian, a lot of the so called "christian history" bothered me. Not so much the catholic persecution...those horrible things did happen, and I get pissed off thinking about it. But the references to other "gospels" and portraying them as equally valid as those in the bible, portraying Jesus as a man with a family, and not a diety....and pretty much making the whole bible into simply propoganda against women - and just portraying that as common knowledge, just kinda pissed me off.
Also, the ending/the killer's identity and how it was revealed....I found it to be somewhat disappointing. The storyline wasn't that great....and the book was more focused on the anti-christian junk rather than developing the storyline.
