I may be in trouble for valentines day...

I had planned to score major brownie points with my girlfriend and now I'm in serious danger of failing.
I'm flying into town to surprise her for valentines day and part of her present was something she always wanted but could never find: A solid pink (mens) necktie.
*Background: She's a fashion major, and women are apparently wearing men's ties as belts. It's supposed to be up and coming.*

Anywho...I score big if I show up with one. I saw one over the Christmas season at an anchor in the mall but couldn't get it cause she was with me. I went back there to pick one like it up and they don't carry it anymore. No one in that mall does.

I'm in a bit of a time crunch. I'll be pulling quite a few hours at work so I won't have much time. I fly out EARLY thursday morning. Shipping is going to be difficult, so buying online may be out of reach.

Anyone have any suggestions/sites/recommendations? I promise, I won't tell her you helped.

(Oh yeah, I don't want to spend $80 on a designer tie that she's going to tear up wearing around her waiste.)

there are a few pink ties on this site. Don't know if it could be shipped in time though. Says 3-5 business days. They give a number on the site to order, maybe the could do overnight shipping or something.

Thanks guys. I saw all those earlier. (I searched for once before posting.)

The ebay ties seem ok, but a little tough to get since I don't have a pay pal account.

2002ties.com is right up my alley, but it's in canada. No overnight shipping since it'd be international.


Do you know of any tie store chains that would be in a mall in town? I wouldn't mind ordering online and picking it up in a store. I've looked at the directories of every westfield mall in town but I couldn't seem to a store specifically for ties. I guess if all else fails, I can call up customer service and ask them.

You'd be surprised how much sh*t I got for asking for a pink tie tonight.

Any other idears?

most clothing retailers don't do the buy online/pick up at the store thing.

I would check out the marshalls/tjmaxx/other cheaper places that often get the rejects from the department stores. They might have something as out there as pink ties. =)

I got one! Dillards had it for 30 bucks. (A bit pricey, but at least I don't have to deal with shipping.)

Between me flying 650 miles to surprise her and giving her a fashion statement instead of the typical dozen roses, I'd say it went pretty well. (We stayed in her apartment pretty much the WHOLE 4 days I was there. )
