Thread: I really need to have this baby!

I really need to have this baby!

The neighbor (we live in a duplex on base) is watching something on tv and I can hear it through the wall. They have kids in school, it's 10 PM, I mean come on!

It wouldn't bother me much but my recliner sits next to the shared wall and the murmer of their crap is driving me nuts! It has given me a headache.

And that is just on top of this crappy nauseous feeling I haven't been able to get to go away for the past week.

Went to the doctor last Tuesday, I am 2cm (boys if you don't know, you don't wanna) and that night my contractions were 10 min apart-- mild so I went to sleep. Woke up and they have been 30 min since!

I am so tired! I can't get comfortable, I can't stop belching, can't sleep and everything I eat gives me heartburn.

Dammit I did my time, he really needs to come out!

Eat a spicy Thai lunch, you'll have the baby tonight!

Really, I read somewhere that most babies are born on Tuesday, so hopefully today will be the day. Good luck!

If you really want to get the baby out, I have two words for you: castor oil.

If you don't believe me, here it is from amazingpregnancy.com (no, I've never seen that web site until I did a google for this reply!)

My wife was tired of being pregnant about 10 days before before our first son was due. Took the castor oil that afternoon, out popped the boy that night!

[edit: there are some other suggestions for inducing labor on the page above the one linked above - some of them are "interesting". ]

The thought has crossed my mind. Several times this week.

I have another appointment tomorrow morning, we will see what is happening and make a decision. As for the other "options" on that page, we have tried them and they haven't done much.

Went for mexican tonight -- spicy chile rellenos and beans and other yummy bites. Maybe the beans can act like castor oil??? ewww!

I got about 3 hrs of sleep this morning. Still going... but ready to crash.

All the best to you, Chrissy. Getting there can be tough, but the rewards after make it well worth it.

Well, midwife was able to touch baby's head today, not that it makes it happen faster or anything, but what she did after might help (HAHAHA!).

she attempted to strip the membrane (she did all she could w/o damage) but still...

She did tell me that I can start Tylenol PM (generic) because it's basically tylenol with benedryl to help with the hip pain. She also gave me a RX for some stronger heartburn meds. (she said if I am going to eat spicy foods, walk and have sex to enduce, I will need something stronger than tums - ya think??)

YEA!!! I love her! Much better than the doc I was seeing. I just hope she is on duty when I deliver! She is a big advocate of natural birth opposed to my assigned doc who thinks breathing should be "ep-i-dur-al" instead of "ha-ha-ha-ho"

We used midwives for all 5 of ours - first 2 at a hospital where they had a practice, the last 3 at home.
