i had to settle an account couple of months back. they told me the settlement was for $255. plus $10 for some clerical charges. so the total was $265. i just got a call from another rep that said the settlement was $15 less than what was needed to close the account, so they're charging me the $15 needed, plus another $10. now, if they were nice about it, i wouldn't have made a fuss over the extra $10. but the guy was a jerk, so i fought him on the $10. i claim that was a mistake they made, so they needed to suck up the charge themselves. but the guy was so rude and ....BAH! is there anything i can do, other than vent here?
