    cpu overheating

my cpu goes up to like 70 degrees celsius when i leave it on for a while and play counter-strike or any other game. I am not using the heatsink that came with the cpu i bought a better one. Should i still replace the heatsink along with getting more case fans?

is this a recent thing? as in did you recently change out the heatsinks? The reason i ask, is maybe you incorrectly applied the thermal paste and that could be part of the problem. Or has this been going on for a while (previous to changing the heatsinks even)

actually this is the heatsink i put on when i first built the computer about 3 years ago.

the problem started happening like 2 months ago, i would always get this blue screen when i was playing games and i realized my cpu was too damn hot

Fan working? Is there a lot of dust in the case? If you used the paste that came with the cooler, it could have baked. Take off the cooler and clean it and apply some a3 or something.
