ARGH! Help me redesign my computer

So my computer is a complete mess and I have no idea what to do. First off, my case is nasty. I decided a year ago to go into the lighted case thing. So I have this case with plastic windows on the sides and top. The fans are lighted and so forth.

My problem is that it's too noisy (the fans are nuts), too hot (my CPU is probably around 60 degrees, and too messy because I don't have enough power connectors for all the fans and hard drives. When I got this case, I had to start splicing and getting Y connectors to get it all connected. I think my hard drives are dying because not enough power (although I think I have a 400W power supply). One of my fans is starting to whine and all of this combined is very annoying.

Basically, I need a big case to hold my 4 hard drives. Also, I need a quiet cooling solution. I don't care for appearance, but I do care for cost. I would like this as cheap as possible.

Please help! If I have to, I wouldn't mind even upgrading my mobo (which I bought recently because my old one died due to dust) to use SATA if it would clean up the cables.

Those antec 1030 style cases go on sale all the time. Plenty of room. I wish I could remember the name and store. They had em for like $50 and would sometimes accidently ship ps and side windows with it for free.

Are you fans dirty. A lot of dust can collect in a case. My room is pretty clean (no pets or hairy creatures) and I still clean my case every few months. To help lower cpu temps you should lower the case temps. I noticed that my cpu runs 10 - 15 degrees hotter than my case. Fans wont work if cables and stuff are blocking the air flow. SVC.com and a bunch of other places sell rounded cables for cheap and molex jumpers/splitters. You can replace your fans with these:

Great fans for a great price.
Use a little artic silver 5 for you heatsink. I know a lot of it is hype but if it gets you 3 -5 degrees its worth $5 - $10.

    Your welcome,

found the major problem...there was a ton of dust in my video card fan...

I need to get canned air and seal off my computer (I had the door open). I also rewired my computer so that the hard drives are isolated from the fans.

I'm pretty happy now. Spent $15 on a new cpu fan (I have one of these http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...109-011&depa=1 which are fanless, but can take a 80mm fan on top) and cleared out the dust and it's much quieter...

Maybe I should also vaccum sometimes...
