    Question

I downloaded files from some newsgroup but I don't know how to open them up, they seem to have a file extension of .r?? where the ?? is a number.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Just to note you might get more responses in the technical forums.

    But to answer your question.
the r?? files are RAR files you need to d/l a unRAR. it works like Zip. make sure you have all the RAR files. cause it is all together.

Go download winrar. It's a lot better than winzip imo
