    dvd + r

    should i buy name brand dvd+r or can i just buy some generic discs.

    i tend to stick with tdk and memorex. they have a frosted label that allows for easy labeling and they seem to be really reliable

    i bought some staples "optimum disks" after the manager offered me 70 for $7.00. They are ok, but they are 2x, so they burn slow, and they are poorly made. You can easily separate the 2 platters to reveal the dye and reflective surface.

    I like TDK because they tend to mostly be ricohjpns which burn at 6x for me instead of the labeled 4x.

    been having great results with riteks that I'll buy in bulk. But I've noticed for the real old stubborn players, TDK and Maxwells have worked brilliantly.
